What to do in Pinet
Pinet offers visitors the opportunity to particpate in a variety of outdoor activities in natural surroundings, often in combination with the discovery of the area’s cultural and historical heritage.

Cycling
Pinet lies some 25 kilometres from the coast in small valley surrounded by low mountains, and is perfectly suited to a range of cycling activities adaptable to each person’s aims and ability, from cultural excursions on e-bikes apt for infrequent cyclists to mountain ranges perfect for gravel adventures and the training climbs and roads of nearby Alicante frequented by the international professional peloton.
Walking
The Serra Grossa mountains which surround the village of Pinet offer numerous walking options that can be accessed directly from our front door.
The Valencian Monasteries Route, which links 5 monastries in the province, passes through Pinet, whilst a little further afield the Sierra de Benicadell and Sierra Mariola ranges offer numerous routes of differing degrees of difficulty.
Rock Climbing
Pinet is a paradise for rock climbers, with 8 climbing sectors located in the limestone mountains that surround the village.
Signposted and easily accessible by foot or, at the most, a 10-minute car journey, there are some 180 recently-developed, bolted routes (40 5 to 6a, 100 6a+ to 7a+ and 30 or so more difficult) that are ideal for climbing in autumn/winter/spring.



Caving
The mountains of the Serra Grossa that surround the village of Pinet are popular destination for cavers seeking to explore the galleries and tunnels that abound in the soft limestone.
The 15 or so caves found within the municipality are complimented by a further half dozen in the neighbouring muncipalities of Barx and Quatretonda.
Cultural Visits
From Middle Palaeolithic cave art, Iberian settlements and Roman villas to medieval monasteries, traditional celebrations, ancient customs and futuristic urban architecture, from the Vall d’Albaida to the wider province of Valencia and beyond, eastern Spain is host to extensive cultural heritage that provides inlimited opportunities for visits and study.
Excursions in Nature
