The Tranquility of Pinet
Pinet is rural village in eastern Spain that offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of excellent cycling, walking, rock climbing, caving and cultural activities in nature whilst immersing themselves and the essence of Mediterranean culture.
Discover Authentic Spain
VT&T is based in Pinet, which is located around 80 kilometres south of the city of Valencia, 100 kilometres north of the city Alicante, and some 25 kilometres inland from the Mediterranean coast.
A rural village in a small, horseshoe-shaped valley at 359 metres amsl and surrounded by low mountains populated with typical Mediterrean trees, aromatic plants and flora, Pinet offers visitors a sensation of peace and tranquility within a unique setting.
With around 150 inhabitants (2024), Pinet was traditionally dedicated to olive and almond farming, dry stone walling and the production of baskets, rugs, espadrilles, hats and other articles made from esparto and palm leaves.
Typically hot and sunny in the summer, cool, bright and clear in the winter and mild and pleasant in spring and autumn, the area is ideal for exploring and practicing outdoor activities all year round.

Location & Access
Pinet is located in the south of the province of Valencia, and can be reached by road from the east from the coastal town of Gandia, which lies on the AP7 Mediterrenean Highway at around 100 kilometres north of Alicante and 70 kilometres south of Valencia.
Alternatively, it can be reached from the west by car via the towns of Xàtiva and Albaida, both of which lie on the inland A7 Highway.
Transport
It must be noted that, although there is a very limited bus service available on request, Pinet is not served by public transport in a practical sense.
Consequently, those wishing to visit the village must be aware of the need to provide their own means of transport (car, bicycle, by foot, etc.).

Active Tourism
Pinet offers easy access to walking routes, road/gravel/MTB/leisure cycling routes, rock climbing and caving sites both in the village’s immediate surroundings and throughout the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.
Both the 5-stage Roda la Vall cycling route and the Valencian Monasteries Route, which is suitable for cyclists, walkers, horseriders and drivers, pass through the centre of the village.
The EuroVelo8 cycling route, which stretches between Cádiz in southern Spain and the island of Cyprus, and El Camino del Cid (The Way of El Cid) both pass around 20 km from the village, and there are numerous greenways within easy reach.
