Cycling in Valencia
At Valencia Tracks and Trails, we offer unique accommodation for cyclists from where they can explore the provinces of Valencia and Alicante in eastern Spain.
From the small village of Pinet, located in the south of the province of Valencia, cyclists have access to a wide range of terrain, from testing +1000m climbs to rural gravel and earth tracks to gentle, traffic-free greenways created from repurposed railways, ideally suited to road cyclists, gravel and mtb riders and leisure cyclists alike.
With +30 years of experience of living and riding in Valencia, we can offer you detailed information on the routes best suited to your aims and ability, from cultural excursions on e-bikes apt for infrequent cyclists to mountain ranges perfect for gravel adventures and the training climbs and roads used by the international professional peloton.

Road Cycling
Long favoured by professional cyclists from around the world as the ideal off-season training location, the south of the province of Valencia and inland Alicante offer hundreds of kilometres of excellent, low-traffic roads, a wide selection of climbs – ranging from the gentle Vall de Gallinera to the leg-braking Xoret de Cati – and endless flat terrain along the coast to the city of Valencia and beyond.

Gravel and XC Cycling
Valencia’s traditional agricultural activity and rural society have left a heritage of innumerable traffic-free tracks and roads that stretch throughout the length and breadth of the region, making for the perfect setting for endless days of gravel and XC riding through all kinds of terrain.


Farm Tracks, Forest Trails and Greenways
From the Sierra Mariola mountain range and Serpis Greenway in inland Alicante to the flatlands around l’Albufera Natural Park south of the city of Valencia and the majestic Ojos Negros Greenway and Calderona and Espadà ranges further to the north, the immediate area surrounding the village of Pinet offers innumerable options for all-day and multiday off-road gravel and XC riding in a superb Mediterranean setting.

Monasteries, Castles and Villages
Both the Valencian Monasteries Route, which takes visitors to five historical monasteries located between the towns of Gandia and Alzira, and Roda la Vall, a five-stage cultural cycling route through the Vall d’Albaida comarca, pass through the centre of Pinet and serve as perfect springboards for exploring the surroundng area and culture.
